Battling the flu

Q: Every year I get sick very often. My doctor talked me into having flu shots for three years now but I still get sick all the time and it takes me forever to get better. Is there a better way?

Signed, Sick of Getting Sick

A: There is a myth that a flu shot is the answer for everyone. It is often not so.

At the clinic, I often start by supporting my patient's immune system and their adrenal glands way before the first cold spell is upon us. I often use a combination of Vitamin C with adrenal extracts as well as zinc and B Complex.

Homeopathic drainage remedies for the lymphatic system and the tonsils are often all that one needs to ward off the cold and the flu.

If you get sick more often then the average person you could try taking Oil of Oregano daily to protect you from the winter bugs.

It is now available in capsules so that you don't have to drink it in water. I find it most helpful for those of my patients who don't like the strong smell and taste of liquid extract.

For about a year now I have been using a combination of wild oregano and wild thyme in a capsule under a brand name "Oregacillin." It is a proprietary, laboratory tested wild harvested herbal mixture that often does its work in only a few days. No need to take things for weeks at a time.

It is particularly useful in any respiratory infections whether viral or bacterial.

All my patients take profilactically a homeopathic anti-viral remedy about once a month.

A combination of Gripp-Heel and Engystol works a lot better then the standard flu shot.

For those with weak immune system, intravenous Vitamin C cocktail given every three to four weeks is also an excellent way to help fight off the winter infections.
