EIS system

EISThe EIS system (Electro Interstitial Scan) is intended to be used in conjunction with other screening techniques for the purposes of assessing and monitoring patient’s condition. It is used in conjunction with other methods of assessing clinical signs and symptoms.

It is a non-invasive, Class III approved medical device.  The scan uses a combination of biosensors to take measurements in the whole body.  There is no radiation involved. it gives a comprehensive

Many areas of the body are measured, including Heart and Circulatory system, Nervous System, Digestive System, certain hormones and mineral levels.  This allows the Naturopath to assess and monitor your health and make individualized treatment plans.

The values measured include: hormone, mineral, and biochemical levels.  Also blood gases, pH balance, brain neurotransmitters and many more.

Follow-up scans allow you to see the progress with treatments over time.

Techinical Aspects:

Cross Analysis (computerized calculation) is a mathematical application of the Venn diagram of the measured indicators of specific examinations to focus on a possibility of dysfunction or disease and the necessary link between the clinical context and the physician’s interpretation to make a diagnosis.

Benefit of using EIS Scan is to assist is data acquisition by the physician and for therapeutic follow-up of the patient. Monitoring allows the doctor to monitor dosage of the medication at each visit.

Bioelectrical impedance: General principles

Bioelectric impedance measurements (BIM) represents a wide range of old and new non- invasive technologies and methods where a very small electric current is applied to the body via one or more surface electrode and the resultant electricity pulse passing through the body is detected at other surface electrodes placed elsewhere on the body. A drop in voltage occurs as the current encounters impedance or resistance inherent in the fluids and tissues it passes through as it courses through the various physiological “compartments” of the body. These compartments include the bloodstream, the intracellular space, the lymphatic system, the interstitial space, and others. This drop in voltage provides indirect information about the physical properties of the compartment(s) that the current passed through.

Proven – Time tested by European medical professions for more than ten years in over 1500 clinics and hospitals, the EIS offers physicians an unparalleled, non-invasive assessment of their patient’s physiology.
Speed – In just three minutes, a complete analysis and dynamic 3D display is presented showing color-coded images of the patient’s top risks and organ health.
Accuracy – The EIS can detect 69 parameters of the Human Body with an astounding 89% clinical accuracy!

Bio impedance monitoring and oxygen concentration.

The electrical impedance of a living tissue can be continuously measured in order to determine its patho-physiological evolution. Some pathology like ischemia, infarct or necrosis implies cellular alterations that are reflected as impedance changes. The bio impedance monitoring has been proposed for myocardium ischemia detection, for graft viability assessment and for graft rejection monitoring. In most of the cases, the event is detected or monitored because an alteration of the extra-intracellular.
